red5 is a renovated (by Rose) boat shed in Dolphin Boatyard,
Galmpton Creek in Devon (TQ5 0EH).

The light open space has double doors onto a balcony that looks out to the river Dart - a spectacular view and inspiring place to work! Rose took one look and agreed to rent
the unloved, dilapidated workshop.

red5 is home to Visual Wearable Useable Art.
Rose’s handpainted textiles can be seen as framed works and as prints on cushions, cards,
purses and more. There are also her handpainted silk scarves and tops and watercolour
paintings. A rail of her hand made garments in cotton and silk hangs to one side.
Claire Jo Harmer, local artist creating vibrant, colourful and expressive paintings has a permanent space at red5 for her stunning work and also runs great workshops from there.
You can also find work by other local artists in the form of photography, etching, jewellery,
hand blown glass and delicate hand knits.

red5 is a studio - a space to use and in which to create - it is constantly evolving. Claire and Rose will run Devon Open Studios there in September 2025 and there are plans for life
drawing sessions plus other workshops led by a variety of artists.
